Your local DNR should be able to tell you what is swimming around in the lake and what the limits are. Good luck!

Per a website, there are no walleye in Havasu, but, if you have ducks and geese, you may have some, anyway due to natural stocking.

As reported by someone else there is no walleye fishing at Havasu. There are a few lakes that do have walleye in them. Show Low Lake have some large walleye , the state record of 16 pounds came out of the lake. Fools Hollow Lake, which is just down the road from Show Low Lake has walleye as well. The best place to fish from the shore is around the dams on both lakes. Closer to Phoenix, are Upper Lake Mary and Saguaro Lake have walleye. Then the last lakes that I know of with walleye is Lake Powell. Hope this is helpful

Have you tried fishing for the large bluegills? I hear reports of near 2lb. sunfish caught in Havasu. As a Minnesota fishing guide those would be one of my target fish in that lake. I would be using in-line spinners with minnows or gulp minnows. Ever one pound gills would make a good fish fry.

I am trying to figure out the redear 2021 a 6.3 lber. was caught ever since the lake had evasive quagga mussels invade the redear (shell crackers) have gone wild. We usually fish for stripers and every one on board wants to fish for them I might have to do a solo trip to figure out the redears.

In Minnesota if you sit in shallow water some of these guys will nip at your skin, and draw blood. But these are only the 4 inch fish, imagine having this guy nip at your leg. Although those would be real fun on a fly rod. That's how I learned fly fishing, I caught several that weighed in around a pound each.

I cought and released a walleye over 18 lbs in show low lake. Let it go thinking the record was 19+ from fool hollow turned out that one went over the spillway and was caught bare hands from some hikers passerbys. Measured 36" girth of 15.5 inches. Was spawned out otherwise it would have gone 20 easy. I'm afraid those days may be gone as I haven't caught one over 10 lbs on a couple of years. Had previously caught several 14# and many around 10#. Used to be able to catch one 5# just about every time I fished it. I live about 1/4 mile from the lake.
