Hey guy's and gal's just got two more frogs to add to the arsenal. Two for $10:00 not too bad( pun intended) these are from Reaction tackle and have super soft bodies . Standard size frogs the hooks come positioned pretty good not really any need to adjust . Might tweak one a bit? But for someone looking to get some frogs these fit my inexpensive needs and seem like they will do some " Rippn' Lips" right out of the pack. Of course the black is a go to color anytime for me. Had to do something to fend off this Springtime hurry up and wait feeling. More on the way too . The ones coming will be small ones about 1.75" long . I'm stocking up because my favorite "little black frog" has been discontinued 😭😭πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄. I used some of these other small frogs last season and they performed very well . Great hook up because they are so small and the hooks held up well with no bends or breaks. These last ones are from Temu!! Say what you will but they produce and for less than two dollars a pop that's economical. It's so hard for me to justify throwing a $15:00- $20:00 frog into the salad when these little guy's work just as well for me. It's not the frog that catches the fish, it's how one operates them that put em in the net. πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™...... Come on Springtime

I bought 3 or 4 from TEMU and will try them whenever I get the chance. They look nice. Hope they work. And under 2 bucks apiece.

Sounds good saw, I've been tried 3 different sizes from Temu, the standard 2&1/2" frog which does ok in the pads , I don't do much open water . The second size is the 1.77" small frog, it's soft and the hooks adjust nicely and with a few pieces of flash-a-boo added to the sparse silicone legs it preforms great. This is the size I would recommend for best hook up ratios !! ( Got 20 bass in one day on a white one with the largest being a 3+# er and the hooks were not compromised) and finally I tried the mini ones with the little sequin spinner, I used a medium rod and ended up removing the blade to keep it from sinking. I did catch a few bass on it but wouldn't use one other than just experimenting to see what they would do if anything. I've been mulling around the idea of removing the metal wire and spinner and the fashioning a small split shot flat and super glueing ir into the hole to keep it upright but not sinking! Otherwise I would not recommend them as a everyday fishing tool. Again the 10-20 dollar frogs may work better for the pros but I'm satisfied with the few bass I catch with my inexpensive frogs. I would recommend the Booyah jr. In leopard pattern also but they're starting to get pricey also, thank goodness for gift cardsπŸ€ͺπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Exactly Griz, besides I can't remember all the different names of all those expensive frogs. I kinda just go with "the little black frog" or something along those lines when it comes to what I feel they may be eating. I don't care if it has lifelike eyes or can walk- the - dog for miles. Where I spend most of my time I'm happy to sometimes just get the frog to actually find a spot of water in the pads. Besides there's always that chance that a frog will end up in the "belly of the beast" in this jungle. Better getting over a 3 or 5$ frog loss than one I could have made a truck payment with. ,πŸ€ͺ🀬" just sayn'" πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

What are you throwing those small frogs with? My frogging tackle is a 7'2" H with 65# braid. Not sure I could cast one of those 1/4 oz. Booyah Jrs. very far with it. I think I remember from one of your earlier posts you go a little shorter and lighter on the rod, but I'd be concerned about getting fish out of the heavy vegetation I'm typically casting into and around.

Thanks for the question KayakDon: I have a few rigs I throw frogs on , my " little black frog" will cast just fine on my Shimano 7'5"heavy with a fast tip as will the Booyah jr's. I say this with hesitation of starting any type of argument about rods ,line #age and or reels. I know what works for me. I use 40# Power pro braid on all my reels ! That's never been an issue with getting a fish in! I routinely fish some very serious salad as shown with the pics enclosed. I also use another set up that is a $105:00 pro caster Walmart special , 6'6" med heavy . I switch back and forth mostly between these two rods with one more 6'6" med for my third rod which might have a small Temu frog that is 1.75 inches long but throw this frog on the med heavy as well. Again personally this is what I use all season and until fall fishing for Perch I fish frogs only 5-6 days a week. Weather permitting ( wind being the major determining factor there)!. Myself I do not buy into the heavier rods any more because of length and casting them for 10-12 hrs will wear a fellow out. I will be getting a new Ugly stick 6'6" heavy rod this coming month however. The short poles do two major things that help my fishing game. First they are much more accurate when it comes to casting and secondly when netting a bass beside the yac I can control them better without short sticking a longer rod. As far as braid 40# has not failed me yet as long as I keep an eye on the knot which a fellow should do with any line poundage. My med heavy will land 5-6# LM Bass with no issues in the jungle I fish in regularly. You may have a more dense pad area but I would find that unlikely. You're a lucky guy if you have those types of pads my good man! A lot of my pads go for miles and leaves can be over 3' across and will grow above the water out to about 2' with flower pods exceeding that🀬( backlash heartbreaker's snatching one of those on a back cast) 🀬🀬. So with all due respect I encourage you to use what works for you and thanks again for your question πŸ€—
