I was born and raised in central Wisconsin 75 yrs ago. I now live in California and would love to see some fishing reports on ice fishing in that area. As a kid we would Ice skate on the river to the mouth of the river on lake Winnebago, chop a hole in the ice and catch yellow perch, walleyes and white bass. Anyone Ice fishing around there these days?
Not a fishing report, but it will make you smile.

I'd like to tell you that Prosser and Boca resorvoirs are good ice fishing spots . We used to fish before work and after work for trout. be careful of thin ice . Best of luck.
Checked out Boca and Prosser last weekend no ice at all. But Very Cold Weather coming I hear.....
Unfortunately, the south does not lend itself to n ice fishing, but I always thought it b was so exciting.
I was born in Amery, Wisconsin. I fished all seasons. Ive fished winters in shanty's or ice houses in the lakes. Never did go for sturgeon til I came to CA in 72. Then white sturgeon. As for ice fishing there's red lake ,Boca as mentioned. But there is a lot of them in the Sierra mountains. Be careful not frozen some years . Best to just Google ice fishing in the Sierra mountains. I silver lake is another,Frenchman, stampede lake, Donner lake, I do believe big bear lake freezes sometimes too.Davis lake hard to get to but good. Like I said you need to check it out cause not always frozen. Be safe and tight lines.
One of my favorite places is Red's Lake off of highway 88. There's also Caples and Silver Lakes. Nice cut throat in Red's.
