I have very sensitive skin when it comes to the sun.
I burn very easily.
I always wear Polarized glasses, long sleeve UV protective shirts and a UV protective type of gloves that cover the little and ring finger completely and the Thumb first two fingers to the last knuckle.
My hat is wide brimmed and my wife sewed on in the back a camouflaged handkerchief that protects my neck.
I also have a small fishing towel tucked into my belt for cleaning off my hands.
My pants are blue jeans and tennis shoes and white socks.
I just recently got my first pair of prescription glasses. It cost me more, but I got Polarized transition lenses. I haven't had the opportunity to try them fishing yet.

Polarized flip shades over prescription eyeglasses and fingerless gloves primarily for UV protection. Also long sleeve hooded fishing shirt for UV protection.

Thanks for the backup Chuck. 👍🏻
I like to fly-fish. The idea of a streamer hook on the back cast hooking into my eyeball to become bait on the nest forward cast compels me to always ware safety style glasses. If they are polarized or dark, just the better. I always get the type which have cheater lenses like a bifocal for tying knots and such. I might wear gloves if I was fishing for sharks or ones with the fingers cut off for cold.
Was diagnosed with melanoma 11 years age. I wear uv gloves, shirt and pants. Along with SPF-50 being my best friend. Do t want to go through that again.
As a kid I got sunburned a lot. Now I'm paying the price. Every year, at my annual dermatology check up. They remove another chunk from my upper back and shoulders.

Always wear my "Shady Rays" one pair for fishing, one for tennis and one pair in the car. Keep #30 lotion in the car and another in gear bag. I usually take a break from fishing and swim if at the beach so lotion works for that. Have many baseball caps for various activities. Just started wearing the long sleeve UV shirts. Not quite used to them yet. Also go to dermatologist every 6 months for checkups and occasional "freeze." I'm a sun baby!!!
I have 4 pr on my visor.
Green blue slate n amber.
3 outta 4 are shady rays 👍

They do make spf shirts with hoods and gaiters built in. Add a pair of sunglasses and you have full coverage.

I've had friends that were part time commercial fisherman who had to give up fishing due to loss of vision. They were advised by their Dr's to wear Dark Tint Sun Glasses, but never did. I personally have had skin cancer and many other pre-cancers. In fact, had one out 2 weeks ago. Dermatologist prescribes a special Sun Tan Lotion for protection for exposed skin areas and I wear UV protective clothing from Columbia Sports wear.
As kids we didn't know about UV damage, today we do. Take precautions.
