There is a push in Maryland to rename the snakehead to make it sound nicer and good to keep and eat

Nice job! Now live in S.C. having moved from Md. Went out this morning but the current was to strong in the Waccamaw along with the wind and sure would have liked having your results! Waiting for the snakeheads to make their way down here......

I hope they never make it down there. But they probably will.

Try using those minnows for perch by pinching them into three sections(with your thumb nail which is better than a knife), one behind the head, another behind the dorsal fin before the tail. Be sure you save the head end, it's their favorite piece! Thus you're adding a lot of scent with the blood and guts with the bait in this manner and they seem to go for them lots better, most of the time. This will bring them by even if their on the move since the scent disperses even in lakes which appear to have no current(but usually do). Whenever we get minnows a bit too large for the little guys, that's our fave way to fish them even when the bite is slow and/or we have smaller minnows. On the jighead is just fine, or ripping off the bottom a small blade bait or spoon(baited on the back hook). This action will help hold them close by because rip-jigging leaves tiny pieces of minnow in it's wake frequently starting a "frenzy" with savage strikes, which are "not" the normal perch bite!

Not right now. But they do show up in the marina at times. Yes we do catch them, but not now.

They're in North Carolina and all the way into southern Canada. They're not doing 1/10 of the damage those damn Blue cats are.

Yes Greensboro might be good. so far for me no yellows at Hillsboro, Wye Mills, and only a few small yellows at Federalsburg Marina. Good Luck!
