A local Los Angeles tv show called Soupy Sales in the early 60’s.
He actually legally changed his name to Soupy Sales.
His sponsor was the Nifty Note Book if anyone remembers the note book.

Larry, We got Soupy here in Connecticut, outta an ABC affiliate station from New Haven, so I guess either it was syndicated or just owned by that particular network, or something. He was a wild man, and the content was kinda strange for kids in that era. I don't remember the sponsors. My brothers and I liked the show, but Mom pulled the plug on it. She was pretty conservative, so no Soupy, Our Miss Brooks, or The Honeymooners for us. Lassie and Sky King were more her preference. And those irritating Mouseketeers.
