Heading back to Hat Creek in May . . . have been going there for a long time but primarily fish Hat Creek itself and not other water . . .
Curious if anyone has any suggestions about any other streams (including secluded areas of Hat Creek) small lakes in the area that might be good to try, hopefully ones that are not over-fished . . .
thanks . .

We have a cabin in Old Station and there are plenty of other spots to fish at. North Battle Creek Reservoir, and Baum Lake
Are great for fishing, small John boat is preferable electric motors only. The Pitt River is half an hour’s drive north and it has excellent fishing. Also between Old Station and Burney you have about 25 miles of fishing along Hat Creek.
Hope that helps you out

Creeks not open till I believe in April 3rd Saturday. Lakes open year round. Some Barbless requirements Above Baum lake.
Also certain sections of Hat Creek above Baum open year round catch & release.
World class fly fishing in that area for sure
