If you have a boat you might try the area north of the hwy 82 bridge ( l'm talking lake Tenkiller) up to Carters landing. I have friends been catching nice blues along that west shoreline which is fairly deep. I was out at Sizemore landing earlier this week, early morning, & some brave pilgram had his boat backed up to the ramp. It was 9 degrees out with the water temp in the low 40's. Too cold for my boat. If you're a shoreline fisherman try the area below ft Gibson dam, either side. Good luck to you.

I feel winter cats taste much better than summer caught fish. I fish the area I mentioned with jug lines & have done well for many years. I usually throw the channel cat back in & only keep the blues up to 10 or 12 lbs. Further up the river on past Carters landing are some massive clifts & deep water. Check that area for big flathead. That area is between Carters landing & Horseshoe Bend if you're looking at a map. Good luck & tight lines.
