Congratulations on your catches, but it still looks cold. I saw an ice hut on the neighborhood lake today and the same thought came to mind, to cold.

We have 6.5 inches of ice on our ĺocal lake but unless one of the guys up here comes along to give me a real big hand it will not happen.

Most were caught in an area 14 feet to the bottom. The rainbows are usually not far under the ice. Browns and lake trout at the bottom.

Thanks. If I ever get a chance to go with someone with the equipment I will remember the depth and level of the species. Gave you fished Vega or Crawford?

Haven't fished Vega in quite a while. However I know a person who does on a regular basis. They've shown me photos of some pretty nice rainbows. I do hit Crawford from time to time, on the ice or during the summer. It's close by so it's convenient. The fishing there isn't very good but we'll always catch a few. Just not much size to most of them.
