Hardly the attitude that I would have after that stellar catch. Sounds a bit like remorse over finally getting one over 20lbs. Personally, I would be re-living the experience in my mind, while planning my next trip to go pursue catching one of its siblings !
But then, my friends often refer to me as "the eternal optimist" in most every endeavor that I pursue.....and not just fishing. (Have been told...." kinda doubt that you can pull that off, using wood as your medium,, but it'll be amazing if you can".....and later I show them pics of the completed project, and bathe in their awe. Live for challenges, I guess.
My retort is always that Judy Tenuta(sp?) (comedian of a couple of decades+ ago) comeback........"Hey...it could happen".
Great catch...go top it !
I have had a 42 in wild but not a keeper
Man that's a beast. Congratulations,
Thank you used to go to Santa Curz all the time when we cut class from San leandro high
Checked into mount 800 to 1200$ so can’t afford it so going to have a buddy make frame with my pic he does nice wood burning work
Thank you missed one this morning first cast
What a nice catch. It would be a beautiful wall mount. Can the meat be saved if the fish was frozen before going to the taxidermist?
I caught a 35# king salmon out of Ilwaco when we were poor newly weds 50 years ago. The fish went to the cannery and we enjoyed canned salmon during the winter. I would love to have that fish mounted and hanging in our office. But when your poor, eating is more important than vanity.
Yes it was going to be between 800 to 1200 $ to mount going to get pic and have buddy make nice frame still a memory
