With as cold as it’s been I’m thinking we should have some good ice on some of the inland lakes soon? Has anyone been checking or out fishing at Wellington, Fildley, Wallace… honestly anywhere within an hour or so of Cleveland.
Wife says she want to give it a try. I’m thinking next weekend.

That’s the first spot I’d go if I was thinking Erie. Thinking some of the small reservoirs with little current should ice up quicker. Hasn’t been above freezing in almost a week here and the forecast is cold. No snow so that makes for good ice.🤞🏻

Our pond just iced over yesterday so dont plan on going this far south

My go to is a tungsten chartreuse glow jig head with a small live or gulp minnow.

J rode over Mosquito last night. No Fisherman yet it usually freezes over fairly fast and they're out there with 2" or less nobody so far. That was last night.
