OK, in Severn, MD in2010 we had 2 storms back to back. Hated them. LOL
The drifts made it even more fun.

Looks like some of the storms we had at Tahoe last year.
The one that did damage to the house had close to 7 feet of snow on the roof.
Headed back up there later next week to clear the roof from the storms we're havin now and then three days of the following week. Probly have to shovel the roof 4 different times to keep up with it. Won't be back till the 25th or 26th.

My son lives 3.5 hours from me and is still cleaning up from a storm that passed through last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He made it to work on Thursday but didn't get home until Saturday afternoon, and he did that by driving a closed highway. I'm just glad we got just 7 inches and that the 30+ mph wind kept my driveway fairly cleared.

We got that storm early Friday. Started snowing about 3AM and finished around the time I got up this morning.
We got about a foot of wet, heavy snow. Now the cold. As of right now it's -2 and dropping. Single digits predicted all week and wind chill -15 to -30 thru Tuesday.

I'm laying in bed listening to the house creak.

I hear you brother about the house creaking. I'm forever going here or there expecting to find something fallen on the floor. Our high yesterday was -7° but it's predicted to reach 1° for a short time this afternoon. Right now it's -15° and I'm not sure if we will go to church or not. Like it says in that old song, "baby it's cold out there."
Stay warm and smile, spring is coming, hopefully.

Oh how I remember them both Marc. Wife and I were talking about them last weekend during that big rain storm. If it were colder it would have been a repeat of one of the storms for sure.

I had rented a apartment at the time while back and forth from NC and was glad I was here. That is until experiencing how clearing out a parking space did not guarantee it would be mine when I got home from work

The biggest problem was that people wouldn't clean off the roofs of the cars.
So driving down the road the snow and ice would come off and hit other cars.
Maryland finally passed a law about that.

Trucks are even worse and somewhat can understand getting up there to clean them is no easy task. However, how many sheets of ice through a wind shield does it take for the driver to understand he is liable?

Absolutely right Bob, driving down the freeway and it starts peeling off the roof of a delivery truck and you have no where to go! Yikes!
