Finally made it out here yesterday. Caught 2, 2.5 pounders. First time here n took some time to get a bite. Fish r very picky n nothing on bait. Finally got my 2 on a mini jig n a kastmaster gold. Fished the dam by the far corner. Saw a few people catching a couple mostly on mini jigs. One guy caught a 8 pounder n another caught a 6 lb lightning trout. Beautiful fish. Today, Friday is dead. By 12:00 most everyone has left. I got one 2 lb but that all I’ve seen caught.

Update with pic, stuck it out n fished a few more hours, p n p— patients n persistence. Nailed what I was hoping to catch coming up to Lake Amador. 8.4 lb monster on a mini jig

This fish destroyed the hook but held on long enough to get em in the net.
It was a heart pumping battle, Whew 😅
