Nice Intro, B R R, Welcome to the Stage. Do you have a slot limit down there ? Ours for my region is quite narrow, I guess to allow only the Stripers from a couple of really good years & to protect the others. I'm not complaining, these management tools have worked in the past ( I think ), to restore our fish populations when they were nearly gone.
Anyhow, Welcome aboard, and continued success .

No we didn't weight them, but one was 42" and the inherent one 38".

Thanks! Yeah right now it's a small slot, 1 fish per day between 28-31 inches. That is egge time from January 1st

Yup I caught this 48 pounder several years ago just off the coast of Virginia Beach trolling with big swim bait. Find the Menhaden and you’ll find the stripers.
