OK, I believe you and I promise I won't make Linda make any chocolate/lemon. But as soon as late spring gets here and the peaches are ready in Parker County, I'm gonna overdose on fresh peach ice cream. We try to make it several times a year. She does try to sneak in a new one every now and again. Last year she make peppermint. It was certainly a looser to me. Number one is peach, vanilla, chocolate and cherry. Oh, by the way, I'd love to hear a story about horse apple trees.

Well, I haven't had a mulberry in 40 or 50 years, minimum. I love those berries. As a kid we would get together at one of our kin who would have Mulberry trees and climb up in spend all Sunday afternoon telling yarns and eating berrys. There were both purple and white berry trees at one of my uncle's farms! I never thought about mulberry ice cream! Just Sayin...RJS

Same with me. A lot of β€œwild” berries were available as a kid. Mulberries, raspberries, strawberries, grapes, and sucking honeysuckle. They were all unattended but were probably planted on purpose years ago. Worst thing was parking your car near a berry tree. Rainbow bird poop!

Hey, Mr Samples. We did something like that as young married folks back in 1969. Had a friend who loved strawberry icecream. We made up a batch and put lemon flavor in the mix. He couldn't eat it and the rest of us tried but wound up throwing most of it out. The mind is a strong force for sure!

You are absolutely correct. Our mind has a mind of its own. Most of the time it allows us to do whatever we wish, but sometimes like chocolate/lemon ice cream and as your example shows it rebels and will not let us do something that our minds objects to strongly. Just Sayin...RJS

[quote=Chuckay]Mr. Robert, out of this story I relate to the saying ( toe sack) also called croaker shack, burlap sack πŸ˜‚ but I will have to try the chocolate/lemon ice cream 🍦 ChuckπŸ™[/q

Growing up we called them potatoe sacks as well as burlap sacks, feed sacks for cracked corn or rolled oats.

We called them tow sacks or sometimes gunny sacks.
