However around the country other items are suspended and dropped welcoming the new year.

I used to go drop my sturgeon gear in the river starting January 1st because the quota starts over. Can fish for few months in Columbia River Gorge. But rules all changed. Eyelids definitely are usually what happens in this house. We might get together with few people for first time in about 7-8 years to play uno or games until it is tomorrow on Sunday night…

Here in Sarasota Fl they drop a pineapple. Not sure why. Guess it’s tropical theme.

Might be that in the "early days" the Pineapple was thought as a symbol of prosperity.
