Well. Thought I would share the boat with everyone. I was worried as a novice about my lack of power boat eperience, and so wanted to have a deep V. My wife wanted a bass boat with some horsepower (go figure, maybe she is a keeper?). So she found a Legend alpha 199 at auction that was a deep V while having oomph and a bass platform. Best of both worlds. I thought I would share the boat and our first few trip results. And just for kicks thought I would throw in a picture I captured while checking game cameras. The picture is of our horses at sunset that just happened behind me.
Well. Thought I would share the boat with everyon... (show quote)

Doc that's one heck of a first boat brother 👍.
Plus you caught a fish.
Great picture with the horses 👍😊

JPS, I’d say from the looks of it the boat is a keeper, and the sounds of it so is your wife! Happy boating and fishing!!

Nice! I practically your neighbor (Suburbs of Dunnegan). I just bought a used Lund 1650 rebel xl. Gonna do more fishing next year when I turn the farm over to the nephew.

Nice boat. And I really like Dunnegan. Beautiful country for sure (our secret). I understand about the farm. Dispersed my herd, gave up my leases, let my son move into the home ranch, packed up the trucks and moved to Stockton. Can't wait to retire and be here permanently. When that happens look for the red legend boat on the lake. I'll be the guy with the huge smile

I bought a Ranger. The beds are all taller than the older trucks

Thats a great looking boat. Be very careful with that or you will end up spending all your money on fishing gear (its too late for me).

Great! Where did you move from? I usually put in at Masters or High Point. Haven’t fished hardly at all in 30 years. Ready to get started again. Lot more expensive than I remember!😂

Hey JBS
She’s a keeper.
Both of them.
You’ll be very glad
you got the deep v
on Stockton,
a beautiful lake.
Blows up,
but you can always
find a cove to fish.
Enjoy

Bakersfield, California. We use the alternative ramp, across the 215 from the Main Marina.
I also took a sabbatical from fishing. Spent almost 30 years managing my families small cattle ranch . No time for vacation, or fishing. Finally got back into fly fishing which I had loved earlier. Now I guess it is time to get into bass and walleye
