Well. Thought I would share the boat with everyone. I was worried as a novice about my lack of power boat eperience, and so wanted to have a deep V. My wife wanted a bass boat with some horsepower (go figure, maybe she is a keeper?). So she found a Legend alpha 199 at auction that was a deep V while having oomph and a bass platform. Best of both worlds. I thought I would share the boat and our first few trip results. And just for kicks thought I would throw in a picture I captured while checking game cameras. The picture is of our horses at sunset that just happened behind me.

I like how the boat matches the truck. Enjoy it every day you can. Our rule of thumb is if you don't use it sale it, so we try to average 4 times a week, but 7 days a week is better when the weather lets us. We would still be on the water if I hadn't started my restoration so early. (1983 Lund American Super Pike deep v)

Nice looking boat, sounds like you got everything you both wanted in one boat. Nice looking fish, good catching. That sunset and your horseโ€™s pic would look good on a calendar, very nice. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more pics.

Sweet...40'+ of beautiful red !
And the horses/trees silhouetted against that sky.....just stellar. Thanks for including that shot. I would have that pic put on glass (that pop-up ad that I keep seeing) in a rather large format. Like was said....calendar-worthy, for sure.
