Guys I'm asking anyone who would to say a prayer for my son Russell. He contracted the shingles on the left side of his face and head and is in danger of loosing the eyesight in his left eye. After having the shingles myself I know what type pain he is in so I went to visit him yesterday. The virus has moved into his left eye and basically already taken most of his vision in that eye. The doctors say it's possible he may totally loose the use of that eye or totally recover. He's using a salve in the affected eye and in terrible pain.
I've always thought the shingles were an old persons desiese but he's 33 and the Doctor told him the virus was activated by a steroid shot he recently got for a RSV ailment. I've posted this before and will again, if you are 50 or above and believe in preventative vaccines please go get a shingles vaccine. Believe me after my 6 month ordeal with this nasty virus, you do not want any part of it and a simple shot could prevent the misery that goes along with the onset of this virus.
