I want to catch walleye. I have all the gear, lures, boat and want to head up the Columbia. Is this a good time of year to catch walleye ? Anyone want to join me ? ( I'm in Portland )
Yes it’s a good time, the walleye are hanging just below the dams and spillway on our local rivers ( Ohio River and it’s tributaries).
Walleye fishing is best starting in March then April until June is what I have researched.
The Willamette around Portland up to the Oregon City falls and the Columbia above Bonneville dam are noted areas
Walleye have been on my list to fish for. When are you thinking of going ?
Would be interested in going with you, always looking for someone to fish with, am in Sweet Home (ya, Oregon).

Have you tried for Walleye at Dexter now that they have drained Lookout Point?
From what I've been reading, a good population have moved into the lower lake.
