Geostrong, welcome to the sport of fishing. I obviously don't live in your area but I would recommend you ask your friends if they or someone they know are fishermen and get them to mentor you. Most of us are always looking for someone to go fishing with us, so don't be afraid to ask.
Greetings. Wa. waters are heavily managed so I suggest you familiarize yourself with the regs. There are lots of bodies of water open all year. Maybe share more of the typeof fishing and species you wish to target. Me, I'm down in Puyallup area.
Always looking for people to help cover gas costs for fishing the saltwater out of Anacortes.
Well the green River is at your door step. When a run is coming through you can pick up a salmon or steelhead. A perfect place for float fishing. I used to go in near the bend in SR18 by the punpkin patch. There is a walk in area ( a couple hundred yards is all). Get yourself a good sensitive rod and a few jigs. Before you know it you will be searching for a good brine recipe to use in your smoker.
