Del Valle in Livermore is regularly stocked with trout now thru the winter months to early spring. I think it’s about 1 1/2 hrs from Sacramento
Going up State Route 16 towards Ione,
I would go to Lake Amador to fish for trout. They have their own hatchery on site to stock their lake.
Collins Lake aboue Marysville has an excellent trout fishery. Cal Kellogg will take you on a guided trip on a pontoon boat for $150 and he always catches fish.
Cal Kellogg guides on several lakes near Sacramento. Collins Lake is a great trout fishery and he always does well. He charges $150 and has a custon pontoon boat to fish out of. He will give you instruction on shore fishing, boats, trolling, and all lures to use.
Thank you, I look forward to go
Thank you, I driven that far for work, so doing it for a great day is well worth it.
Check out Lake Amador just off Highway 88 in Amador county, they have been planting some BIG trout in there. Check it out.
