With all the kindness I can muster, I want to address the reason for the Season!
From time to time, I have been invited by Facebook to post a short story.
This season, I ask or challenge those adults who do not believe in Christ Jesus as being the only Son of God, why they even bother. Why they go through the motions?
Christ was born of a Virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and after he was cruelly crucified walked out of the tomb in three days, a divine person!
If you are doing it for your children, some day they will recognize you have just been a fake! You were pretending a false living for their benefit, but all of which would have been much more honest to tell them you don't believe and why! Sooner or later, they will learn you are a fake and have been fraudulent parent. Is that any way to raise your children? Please excuse my blunt and straight talk. While you have time to change, seriously consider doing so. Just Sayin...RJS

Mr. Samples,
Me thinks you may not have mustered quite enough (kindness).

I think for a lot of people Christmas has nothing to do with religion .
Retailers are trying their best to turn Christmas into nothing more than a huge commercial event meant to separate us from our money.
Christmas has become so commercialized it is very easy to forget what Christmas is really about, the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. The best gift is not under the tree, but was nailed to a tree.

RJ check out my thread ( Curious question here for you non believers )
Basically asking the same question.
Well said Mr Samples no need sugar coating the truth I think that’s a lot kinder than I would of put it people need to hear the truth now days more than they ever have before with the direction the world is heading in and the acceptance of everything and I been meaning to ask you Samples are great story tellers just wondering if you are any relation to the other great story teller Mr Junior Samples
Rheatown: I do not know whether we are related or not! He was an unusually talented storyteller and comedian. It seems that our clan had a fetish to keep relations secret! I have spoken to Jamie, Lord Semple 21st, who sits in the house of Lords in Scotland. It seems there a large number of Samples emigrated to the U.S.

I will agree with Rheatown and say that many times bluntness is the most loving way to get the truth out. Plumbob got some rather harsh feedback from his question but we know guilt will do that.
And no, Jesus probably wasn't born on Dec. 25th but that's a day to acknowledge His birth.

Interesting that children ( including me) once believed in Santa only to discover he wasn’t real. Leap of logic—as children we are taught to believe and Santa AND God. When we discover that Santa is not real do we move on to believing God isn’t real? Not in my case.
There is a abundance of evidence that we have a creator.
Make a decision based on evidence that we have a saviour.
Evolution not so much. Made up to fit a theory.

Hebrews 11:1. Substance and evidence
Not science or God
Science and God
God created science as evidenced by a sundial going backwards.
