Hear this out loud
Velveeta may look like cheese and taste like cheese, but it is technically classified as a "pasteurized process cheese product." Originally, Velveeta was made from real cheese, but that is no longer the case

Well it's certainly cheesy 😜

The label on my box of Velveeta claims it's a "Pasteurized Recipe Cheese Product"

HI
Try using white Rooster Tails or various colors. Also you should try gold or silver castmasters. Get the small version of cast masters. Lastly yellow dotted or black medium Panther Martins.
Good Luck!!

Use number 8 hooks and power bait for those . With a very small egg sinker and swivel. Panther marlin spinners work as well. There not hard to catch there not smart trout.

Last time I tried fishing right after a plant, I couldn’t get them to bite until I tried using a split-shot placed about an inch away from my small gold treble hook tied at the end of my line. I put salmon eggs on the treble. Plant trout are usually fed pellets and seemed to be attracted to the split-shot. Next day, cast masters were working.

I’ve caught a lot of planted trout on gold panther martens on the Kern river in Kernville, also on Pautskes red balls of fire salmon eggs. Worth a try!!

Those gold small Panther Martin's are deadly in rivers and streams. Caught my biggest Brown on the Truckee with one also on the East Walker.

I used to fish stocked lake in apple valley Ca. Used the salmon eggs or the little marshmallow looking things from Walmart and did well.

That’s probably why when I used velveeta 9 or 10 years ago the stocked trout wouldn’t touch it like they did in the 60s and 70s.

It is fun catching them if they are large. Lake Chabot in Castrovalley has very large trout that are stocked. My largest is 14.5 lbs. my best 5 fish limit was 32lbs. I gave them away cause I prefer better meat!!!
