Gary, there's a pier on the Beaufort side of the 170 bridge. I've heard good things but never fished there. I generally fish the fresh water ponds in my community and go on charter trips for inshore and offshore fishing. I think redfish and drum are around. There are also flounder and sea trout. We're also about to get into the sheepshead season. If you want to fish Maye river, there's a pier at the end of Calhoun Street where you can also charter a trip.

Thanks for the info ! I like the Broad River & Chechessee & Bolan Hall area ! Great fishing for Black Drum -Spot Tail- Trout & Sheepshead ! It's been slow but hope it will pickup soon !!
