I’m looking to go to Lake Skinner to start fishing again. It’s been a long time but now that I’m retired I have time. Where do I find fishing reports on Lake Skinner? What is being caught and any information about bait and gear set ups?
Thanks for the add admin.
There are several people here that fish there regularly, keep an eye out.

Welcome PapaT, I just fished there yesterday. Are you fishing from shore or do you have a boat?
No boat. I’ll be fishing from the shore. Any ideas where I should go?
I have not shore fished there in years, but have seen and talked to a few of them. My pick would be to go to launch ramp #1 and follow the path from the bathrooms on the left. It goes straight pass the store by the rental boats to a point, fish there or work your way along the shore to the left. The second place is by launch ramp #2, fish anywhere around there or work your way around the bay to the left. Talk to the fishermen you see as they can give you a better idea than I can. Good luck and tight lines.
I went out and bought a boat this weekend. Where would you suggest I try fishing on Skinner

Grats on the boat! What kind did you get, and did you take it out yet? Best I take you out and show you around the lake in person if you would like.
I bought a 92 Sea Ray. Not a “fishing boat“ but it will work. I took it out today with my 40 year old son. We did not fish because I just wanted to get comfortable launching and taking it out. I also wanted to run it on the lake. The carb needs to be cleaned. I will do that first thing in the morning. I plan on going to Skinner mid morning tomorrow. Text me so we can go out on the lake. 951-526-5301.
Hi there,
My friend has a boat and we leave from ramp 1. We have caught some good striper a few weeks ago but it’s slow now. Went all over the lake and the fish were twenty feet away from where we were.
Let us know how it goes out there
