I’m from California Oregon raised fishing hunting for move back to Missouri to take care of my in-laws bought 40 acres and I learned so much about fishing especially big catfish. The first time they take me to the bottom of Bagnell Dam I show up with the striper rod style fishing pole, they get out deep-sea rigs, a remote control boat, 1 gallon bubblers and a whole tub of fresh shad turn off at the head. The first fish was a white cat 87 pounds I was astonished what a party we had at least 250 pounds of fish filleted dispersed through the family. It was the coolest thing, my biggest fish that day 57 pounds white cat needless to say I was hooked.

The International Game Fish Association has recorded the world record for a white catfish catch to be 19.3 pounds (8.75 kilograms) for a fish caught in 2005 in California. Wow 😮 that’s awesome 👏. You tripled the world record. Congratulations 🎊🎉🍾🎈. You are the greatest fisherman ever.

I didn’t have scales to weigh it, but it was at least 40lbs.

I don't doubt you but real hard to guess the weight. I use scales and always surprise how wrong I am . But no matter the weight that is a great catfish. Good job

I do have scales now to weight the big one's. I could kick myself for not having them. I had sold my boat a couple years ago to get another and evidently I left a few items in it, one being my scales...
