I remember when I would look at the Sunday comics in the newspaper and the person on the radio would read them.

Good one Plum. I save that section for my last read. You know. Save the best for last.

And on the front page of the comics, it was either Dick Tracy or Blondie at the very top. That was followed by an ad (that sort of looked like a comic) for motor oil featuring some renowned car racer.

Yup- The funny papers taught me how to read, and better, how to think (Pogo, Lil Abner, etc)... Hey Plumbob, we used to charter the "Plumb Crazy" out of Deale, MD for Striper. The Cap't's handle was Plumbob. I looked up New Windsor and found it in Carroll County, (Around the corner from Frizellburg) so I am guessing he was a different "Plumbob"?

Definitely not me Starshooter and there is another plumbob on the stage that has yet to post and he is out of California. There is a Plum Crazy diner in Westminster MD, wonder if they have a place in Deale.

That is one fine looking car Bruce. In the early 70's a guy I served with had one as well. Stationed in Panama and I don't know who he loved the most his wife or the car. All he talked about was his car, of course in our 20's cars are pretty close at the top of the list.
