Old Tackle Box

I have an old tackle box that the 2 rivets that holds the trays to the front broke off. I went to Lowes and bought a rivet gun and rivets and fixed it. It is better made than the ones in the stores now paid more for the tool and rivets than a new one would cost, but this one holds lots of sinkers, rigs, hooks and 3 trays for lures. I have some new ones and leave them at home because they are too light/cheaply made. The top comes off them sometimes and I have to fight to get the top back on. And that one was a smaller Plano. I have a big Plano but it is way too big, with the rest of the stuff I take out. Cooler, 5 gallon bucket, rods, chair, drinks and lunch/dinner. Has anyone else done this? Repaired their tackle Box?

I have all different sizes and types of tackle boxes. I have a medium smaller traditional T Box that opens and has the trays that open up as you open it. The latch that holds lid to base went to crap. I put a short piece of old original wire coat hanger and put a screw in base and one in lid made a crescent moon 🌙 shaped coat hanger with tip bent toward each other and still works now.

Have an old Kennedy Box from the 50s with the cork lined interior, clamshell top opening, and 3 latches. Was all banged up from use. Straightened it out and cleaned it up. A good 2nd tackle box for my gear and overrun of lures. I think it's a classic. I now use a smaller but more functional "Adventurer" box with larger trays for my Canadian fishing.
