Hello Fellow Fishers,

I am looking for a fishing buddy or buddies; wife does not fish. I write like I talk so will try to keep this short.

Me: Active, retired, Sweet Home, Oregon. I have fished for catfish, salmon, steelhead, trout, halibut, tuna, rockfish. I have a 16 foot Sea King fishing boat. I have little experience using a boat for fishing, hope to find a fisher experienced with boats to help me learn to use my boat.

I fish with guides and charters. I travel to fish. Happy fishing for anything that swims

You: Man, woman, couple, does not matter. Be able to pay own way, some fishing experience, can fish during the week (preferred), has boating experience, own transportation.

Hi, I’m like yourself in that I need a fishing buddy but I have no boat. I’ve fished boats for many fish. I’m in Portland, however, I have my own transportation and will pay my own way. We could fish anywhere you like, give me a text back if your interested.

I have not fished in Green Peter very much. I have not checked but was told the water has been drawn down and there is no boat access.
Would be happy to fish GP or Foster if there was someone to fish with.

We should talk about where to fish. Using a boat is new to me so where to go is all new for me.

I want to do some crabbing in the bay either Yaquina (Newport) or Tillamook out of Garibaldi.

Recently fished for salmon in the Yaquina river with guide, so have some idea about that river.

New to the site so not really sure how to reply? Not real tech savvy either. I’m old school I guess. Anyway I love to fish and would be happy to go fishing with you. I’m 65 and retired so I can fish pretty much anytime or anywhere. I don’t know alot about fishing from a boat since I’ve never owned a boat, but would definitely pay my own way. My name is Dell. I love in Lakeside, Oregon.
I used to fish these waters: Coos, Umpqua, Smith, Coquille and Winchester Bay . I stopped to heal up a shoulder. I got violated by a big sturgeon pushing 500 lbs.on lower Umpqua. Not sure if I want to do that again but it's time to get back on the water. If you are ever wanting to come down, I'll get ya rolling. I had 19 boats at one time. Yeah I've got issues. Ha ha. My point is every boat is different in its handling. Weight distribution and good visibility have always been my starting point. Striper, Sturgeon, Steelhead are my passion but I'm up for whatever is biting. Drop me a line

Hope you got some pictures of that sturgeon. I would to come down that way. Winchester Bay is on my list of place to fish/crab. And stripers are on the list to catch. I just like to fish and if I catch something it is a bonus. And all of us like a bonus as often as possible.
