What a fabulous catch on the smallmouth bass! Definite hawgs and rod benders! I hope that you are able to get out often yet as Fall rolls onward.

Yes it's always a challenge finding the right days in the big lake. One good thing is the fish are not more than a mile off shore and I only have to run 3-4 miles down the shore line. I have a Key West sportsman 1900 and it's quite capable of handling 2 footers or less. The big lake trout will be working there way in as well in a few weeks .

What's those babies weigh? Never seen smallys of that caliber. Keep it up. I'd do anything to get out there and get a chance to hook into one of those beast.
