I've never had sturgeon for dinner. Anyone have a good recipe? I haven't caught any yet, but want to be ready when I do.

Yeah Fy. I caught it on a medium heavy Bass rod with a 5601 Abu Garcia reel loaded with 20 pound braid.๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ‘

Look up poached with white wine sauce. Itโ€™s great can cook some asparagus. Itโ€™s great BBQ ed too. Smoking it ok but not all of it. I have cleaned a bunch of them.

Must remove ALL of the dark stuff between the skin and the meat. Itโ€™s the bone marrow they are exoskeleton so their bones are the razor blades on their skin. I cleaned a huge sturgeon once and it was winter. I set the heart on my car roof. The next day it was still pulsing. They are prehistoric. Cook it the way you would halibut too.
