Has anyone fished Pyramid Lake NV lately? Just curious how the bite has been since Veteran’s Day weekend was REALLY slow!
I was there for opening day, Oct 1 and heard from a few locals it was the worst opener in years. The line to the boat launch started at the lake and backed up a half mile down the highway. Three of us managed to boat 3 keepers in two days, two barely over the slot (24") and one just over 10lbs. Nice cutthroats. My son fishes Pyramid at least a couple times a month and has caught several in the 9lb - 16lb range fishing from a step ladder. He recently told me the only thing that has changed since Oct 1 is the line at the boat launch. The water is still high and the fishing is still much slower than normal.
