Totally agree big A. Religious belief is a personal thing.

Okay, guys ! i'm well aware that many of you are either religious in some way or strong in whatever faith-based belief you follow; I do respect that and your right to do so; that said, you need to know and respect that my beliefs are my own and not open to criticism any more than I would criticize yours !
You may not like my religious beliefs or attitude, but please do not judge, criticize, or preach to me ! Respect and tolerance are a two-way street, although there are some things that I deem unethical
or immoral and absolutely WILL NOT tolerate ! No one here (so far as I've seen) falls under that umbrella ! Let's keep it friendly and non-judgemental ! Thank you for your understanding and co-operation !

Sorry Big A; didn’t mean to sound judgmental or offend you, and I certainly didn’t criticize you for your beliefs.

Big A and bc we now get it that religion belief is a personal thing with you two and for sure many others. Not mentioning what one believes in fear of offending some one is going to be difficult on here because the list of users has grown rather large. To voice that we should agree to disagree is not worth it either that will start another fake fishing episode.

I would suggest that the next time some one brings up a religious conversation referencing either of you two or any one else reading this, is for you to simply say that you do not believe in what's being said and would prefer not to be included in the subject.

I can imagine that most of the users on here are expressing their opinions not for malice but to spread their belief. We have the option to challenge, listen, or move on. Remembering who is who with so many on here is the difficult part.

Sorry if you thought I was offended. I was not. I only agreed that religion is a personal thing. Religion & politics are two touchy subjects. I like the subject of fishing. I'm going this morning. I'm going to meet up with 3 guys that I've fished with over 30 years. We'll fish on the marina docks for bluegill & crappie. First we'll set down to a cup of coffee & hash over world events, grandkids, how we could have caught more fish yesterday & for sure I'll be razed for screwing up my surgery & getting it postponed a week. The fishing is serious but lighthearted. It's another great memory. Ain't fishing fun?

Back from my bluegill fishing this morning. Kept another 22 nice bluegill. I usually use nightcrawlers, broken to about 3/4 inch & they work well. One of the guys I fish with is dead set against baits like anything in the Berkley powerbait line. My contribution to our fishing excursions was to use only berkley baits. Today was the 3rd very successful day using nothing but red berkley honey worms. I made it a point to fish near enough to my buddy that he could see everything I caught. I offered him a worm after each fish but only got a sour look from him. I'm hoping I can get him to at least acknowledge that they work. After fishing with him over 30 years he can pretty much ignore me. I'd give him a lung, he'd do the same for me.

" I offered him a worm after each fish " That's the way to tweak bc. Nice going and nice day you had there.

Fishing / Hunting buddies are like that they share a lot of things.

Although been seeing on the news more and more strangers are doing the same.
