I don't see how they deal with the scales?
Or different sized/shaped fish. Other than pan fish.

The video of the power scalers showed a protective shield that deflects flying scales down.
I see a spoon also throws scales everywhere.

Using a scrubber action of a spoon, the tail of the fish rises and flaps, moves around and is hard to hang on to. On the video using the power scaler, it does not.

Does anyone else cook the whole fish?

Does anyone else notice skin on has a slightly nuttey addition and crispiness?

Dirt was my thing. I was there when He created dirt.
I question his wisdom in creating women though. My weakness and downfall.

I've been a spoon guy all my life. I do have a cute little bone handle 3" blade hunting knife that I use for removing the top and bottom fins on the Blue Gills. 3-4 minutes on each side in the frying pan and you can lay one whole side away from the rig cage with the edge of your fork. Flip him over and do the same thing on the other side. Come on spring, Jer

Go to YouTube and watch scaling with a spoon and the effortless power scaler. Huge difference.

While I'm at it, how many people just scale and gut, then cook the entire fish?

I have the electric scaler that has a separate motor from the scaling mechanism and it is SO FAST . I scaled and cleaned 15 Blue gill in 12 minutes and they were ready to rinse and cook. Best I have ever used.

I would appreciate knowing the make and model number of that scale when you have time to look at it. Thanks

There is a display in a post above that shows the different scalers. Scroll up and look at the one that has a cord that you hang up with the motor attached. The scaler is at the end of the other cord. If you can't do that let me know. You will see these in a lot of fish markets.

I know which one you are talking about. Did you experience scales flying all over?
Any issues like torn flesh (on the fish).

I saw how quick on the videos. and the tails are not flipping up and down.

Thx

Mo. It works perfectly/ There is a guard on the scaler that deflects scales.
