Been thinking about doing one of those Musky float trips on the James River. Before I spend $350 for this venture have a few questions. What kind of bait/lures would be best to use. Also can't recall ever hearing on here if muskies are edible & what they taste like.
Can’t go wrong with a black buck tail one with about a#5 copper or bronze Indiana or Colorado blade And yes very good eating but they are like a northern pike you haft to know how to clean them to get the bones out.
Excellent smoked. Like musky baked or fried as well.

Throw the largest Rapala Huskey Jerk you can find.
Smaller than 35" are better tasting.
