Which Braided line for baitcaster

I use 832 20# on my spinning gear and have been using 14# mono on casting gear. I want to try some braid on my baitcasters but not sure which weight to us 30 or 40 and whether to use 832 or the new power pro slick. I use older curados 100 and 200 green and older black shimano bantam 100's. I want to be able to throw 1/8 to 1/2 oz baits my rods are all different weights but mostly medium or less. Rod lengths vary from 51/2 to 7 ft. Have many rods and many reels so not interested in buying more. Mostly fish inshore reds and freshwater bass

I use Suffix 832 low vis green for all my rods, 30# for most baitcasters and 20# for spinning reels. I use mono backing for all the reels except for the 4000 size spinning reels and the 300 series Shimano Curado I use for inshore and rig fishing when I go to Venice, LA. Still, a lot of the line in the baitcasters and spinning reels is not used, so, particularly with the baitcasters, I get rid of the worst condition line in one of the baicasters and wind one into the other so I have new line. You seldom expose more than 40 yds of line to the water in any of the baitcasters, so if you were going to throw away all the braid when you change lines you will throw away a lot of unused line, and it gets expensive.
I've also been experimenting with Kastking line. It's pretty good for the price. Let's see how long it lasts. My main complaint with the 832 is colorfastness. It fades very quickly. I have tried PowerPro, but it's a stiffer line and does not last as long as 832.
BTW, I don't use a leader. I use the 832 straight to a snap or hook. When the line fades I use a Sharpie and color the last 2 ft of line with either black, brown or green.

I've tried 6 different braids and the one I like best for my spinning I use 15# power pro Slick For my bait casters general like jigs or open topwater 30-40# power pro slick and for frogs I use the power pro 65# power pro slick. I have had the best luck with that braid for everything except crankbaits which I would go to fluorocarbon. Hope that helps you out.

Also I'm kind of fussy about the color I try to use the brown for the spinning and the green for the bait casting with a black dry marker coated 5' to 10' leader( just a tip from KVD) don't know if it makes a difference or not but I get fish so I keep doing it.

Stren makes the only one that does not flatten out from use. It actually remains round . Prevents it from digging in on the reel.

I strictly use Power Pro braid. On a baitcaster I normally spool with 20# and up the game to 80# test for musky. Too light of braid and you will have casting problems.

I use as light as 10 lb and have no problems casting great distances.
