Good Morning!!

I've been away from the site a couple days, it's been so cold, damp, and nasty here that I've been stoved up and couldn't move my thumbs to type.. rheumatism is fer the birds.

Today is a new day tho, and although there is a ton of snow to be removed, I feel good. Now, if the snowblower would just start...

I'm fine, Denny, thank you. I googled Bay City, MI. and I think it would be a great place to live about 6 months out of the year. The other 6 months would be down on the Gulf someplace. What do you think?

I think.. let's go! Haha for real though you are 100% correct. This is paradise 6 or 7 months out of the year. Great hunting, fishing, and you cant beat the view in the fall... winter months are HARD though. Very hard. I want to be a snowbird. Especially now lol.

It really doesn't cost as much as one would think. I know when my bride mentioned it 11 years ago, I never thought much about it. She mentioned it again and then I thought, well, she is serious, so I gave it some thought, did some research and said, as long as it's next to water, let's try it for a month. We do it every year now for two months. I would like to do it for 3 months but she doesn't want to be away from home that long. The sheepshead usually just start to hit about the time we are coming back at the first of March. But then so do the trout, so I'm o. k. with that. If you stay away from the water, beaches & golf courses, places are real cheap but the water and the beaches are nice, the golf courses I could care less about. It's like ice fishing for me.

My wife has family in northern Indiana that all head south for the winter. It's the only way I could live back there. No winter for me thank you.

Actually it was 5* up here and then dropped to 3* so it isn't bad. My door is always open, everyone is welcome. The coffee pot is on in the morning and beer time starts at 3:00.
