Brown trout fishing

Just got back from Kent, NY (Lake Ontario) area where we spent four days trying to get some quality Brown Trout. Seven of us fishing the river could manage only three to five fish per day. Poor trip! Maybe next year we will go a week earlier.

You never know about the weather. Did you get decent fish?

Weather was cold but manageable. Fish that we managed to catch were small to average size but few and far between, unlike previous years. We fished the Oakland/Oakhill (?) Dam. Planning on fishing another place next year.

Sometimes because of their being real spooky you have to go to very light leader/line and small hooks.
