How and what are you using to sharpen your hooks and most important what hooks are you using?? We are using eagle claw hooks and seems like they bend fairly easy...
As always thanks
All hooks can be sharpened with a file ! Couple of passes on side and over top of pout triangulates the hook point !
If your hooks are easily bent then their probably light wire . They make all strengths purchase what’s right for your use !
Ask the sport shop where you buy they can help u out !

I carry a small sharpening stone in my tackle. Bought it years ago and not sure who makes it, but it has a notch in it for laying the point in. Works great. I use Gamakatsu hooks almost exclusively. They cost a little more but they're worth it. Sharp as hell right out the box and rarely need sharpening. Owner is also a good brand I've heard.
Eagle claw fan here. Sharp right out of the box and yes do bend some. Harden steel hook tips just break right off in rocky bottoms where softer steel bends a little and still holds on. Offshore great hooks, but use Gamakatsu octopus hooks for inshore game fish. Always check tip, gotta be sharp to pierce!
