So I live near a reservoir that’s stocked with brown trout in the spring and I have been striking out for the past month. It’s getting colder now and I’m wondering if there’s a technique that works well when it hits around ~30 degrees, I’ve been trying power bait and some inline spinners on 4 pound test with no luck.

Try slowing down maybe? I've had good luck with black 1/8oz marabou jigs, but I fish rivers.

With all hatchery supported waters the further you get from stock times the tougher catching will be. In the toughest conditions i go to live bait. For browns that is fish. Minnows will produce when nothing else does, but expect slower fishing.

Yeah I figured we missed the big rush of trout, but I’ll definitely try some minnows this weekend! Hope my local bait shop still has them!

I am not familiar with stocked browns, but I've caught my share of wild ones. I have never caught a brown on power bait. I know that browns eat other fish and crawdads. Not much for bugs like rainbows. I also know that they like woolybuggers. If I were fishing for browns in a lake with conventional vs. fly, I would throw a casting bubble with some water in it and drag a woolybugger around behind it.
As mentioned minnows.
I use to get them fishing shiners under a bobber.
