Hello all,

Been wondering what you guys wear as far as shirts go to block out the sun while still being able to stay relatively cool and sweat free.

I usually go in with water shoes, hat, sunglasses, buff face mask, joggers, and a shirt that just doesn't cut it. It gets too hot out here in Cali

A million different brands offer a long sleeved and hooded sun shirts. I use a Cabela’s guidewear one that I really like, but there are a ton of good options out there. Just Google “sun shirt” and start looking around

Columbia makes some nice lightweight and breathable long sleeved fishing shirts.

Those long sleeve(sometimes hooded) shirts that basically are the equivalent of wearing sunscreen, yet are very breathable and moisture wicking. I got 2 huk ones when they had an end of summer sale. Many brands make em but can be pricey, I’d try to find a sale

Where you at in California? My local Costco in Roseville sells them. I have two, the brand is Habit, they go about $20 and they're very nice. Very comfortable and well made.

Firstly, before I leave the house, I basically slather myself with sunscreen. Then just hat, surf trunks, long sleeve T-shirt, flip flops or sneakers. Winter; same thing just a thick hoodie, beanie in the AM, & sweats. Rain/wind/snow ; all the above under Frogg Toggs , wool socks, proper boots 🏄🏼‍♂️🎣

I was wrong - not Costco, Sam's Club. My wife corrected me. Imagine that.

Me: depends on time of year - spring/summer/fall - Teva’s, cutoffs or regular shorts, tee shirt, hat with bill, sun glasses (polarized) and sun lotion. If fishing in questionable waters (fast water)
Will wear water safety gear (life preserver).
