Funny you mention that. Catholic here as per my dog tags and the wife and I were just reminiscing on that it was all Saints day. Back in the day it was a day from school for us Catholics, oh boy candy all day. But wait where did that sack of goodies go. Mommmmmm

The Priest was talking about "Living the Dream" and being that most of the people at Mass at 8:30 in the morning were retired or simi-retired, most of us could relate to that. We are going to go up and visit the nursing home this afternoon. That will take most of the afternoon because a lot of our friends are up there. A scary thought, but thankful that neither of us are up there. We are "Living the Dream".

Very Admiral of you going to the nursing home Flyguy. I have had my share of visit with Loved ones and I am sure you know it is welcomed by those you are visiting.

I think it was OZ in another post I read recently, that something to the effect about showing care for another with just our actions. With raising 3 boys who are mature in age only, the wife and I wonder if they will ever see how we respect those in need. We will never change and pray they come around.

When we go to the Seniors Club, we take old jigsaw puzzles and books that the used book store has too many of. never had them say NO! But I would rather go fishing.

Well au53, the next monster in the boat may just be from doing a good deed. No good need goes unnoticed. Food for thought there.

By the way former Marylander here as well.

Lucky you wanting to get out. Our place for sale here in NC and wife can't wait to get back to Md. Kids in Ellicott City with munchkins. She thinks they will stay that small and want to be around us all their lives. Realization is not her strong suit.
