Just curious. I still have family in Wichita, transplanted from Nebraska. Never been to Kansas but from the looks of the Crappie fishing if I go for a visit I might look into it.

Had a good time with my 2 Grandaughters Saturday they caught a mess.
Both claim they don't like to eat fish but they both got their hads dirty, and I bet when the fillets are cooked they will have a change of heart about liking to eat them.

The first time I took my granddaughter fishing she caught 37 perch and 4 trout. She was hooked on it. The meal afterwards was just icing on the cake.

Youngest soon to be 3 didn't want to touch anything until her momma showed her the minnows wouldn't bite.
Next thing I know she is setting them free 1 at a time and laughing. 7 year old got on her told her to stop those were the bait.
After that we got her to put her thumb in a few crappie mouths and hold them for a few seconds.
The 7 yearold when she was about that age she would jam her thumb in a perch so fast and hard I thought a few times I saw her thumbnail by the tail.
Memories and more to be made.
