Bass jumping all around my kayak but are not hitting top water lures, any ideas why?

Can’ seem to understand why they are jumping or what they are feeding on but no luck with top water lures. Any ideas?

If they're actually jumping out of the water then they're trying to get away from something.

They are feeding on top water. They are not trying to get away from something like Spirit 27 said. “Need a Fly Rod” I have them doing the same to me.

Cast a plastic worm without a weight and let it sink.
