Hi,
65, WM, retired snowbird. Have been kayak fishing in Ft.Pierce Inlet/Mangroves/Indian River
mostly with shrimp bait. Catching Catfish, few Pompano Sheephead, small Snappers.
1. Would like to catch bigger fish. Any advise or links to go to?
2. Tossing out Lure from Kayak gets tiring....any advise on lure fishing from kayak.
3. Kayaking Fish Buddy. I generally fish solo [cause to one else has kayak]. If you revert back to me
perhaps we can go out together to fish.
Thanks in advance
Tossing lure from any craft including land does get tiring. Maybe you need to ease up on the number of times you go out and work up slowly to enjoy why you are out there. Or could it be the way your casting? I am a side arm tosser and will go over hand when I feel the body talking to me. It's called fishing not catching and to get the bigger ones maybe different waters.

Don't eat ANYTHING you get from the IRL, especially North of Sebastian.
Heavy pollution. Fish close to inlets where the tide flushes.
IRL used to be wonderful, then commercial clam rakers came in and stripped the sea grass.
Following that, farm runoff caused several toxic algae blooms that killed everything that lived there from mammals like manatee, to dinoflaginates. The bottom is toxic sludge several feet deep. It will be 100 years before it recovers, if it ever does.
I have a Native propel kayak which I peddle a propeller similar to a hobie. I troll my lurers, cover alot of water. great for catching fish.
