As most construction guys probably know, red chalk lines leave a permanent line, but I’m afraid no color works on water. Although I’ve never actually tried to snap a line on a lake, it doesn’t work well on a wet deck....

How about a rattle can of fluorescent orange, spray a big X right on the water...NO, NO, everyone would know. maybe some 60s paint that only shows up under a black light or if you're stoned out of your gourd...I'm willing to try that Dude!!
