I have a 6’6 ugly stik gx2 spinning combo, it’s worked out very well for me, it handles Trout and catfish and even bass really well. I just want to upgrade the reel cause it’s kinda flimsy. Any suggestions?

Shimano Sienna, the new FG model. Great reel for 30 bucks and much better than the stock Shakespeare reel that came on the gx2

Penn Pursuit 3. ~$40 for a 4000 size and it's somewhat salt water resistant. They're like the Fierce 3 but with one less bearing.

Have been using Shimanos for years; my favorites were the 'Sidestab' models (around $30/ $35), as I got 7 to 10 years out of them ! Unfortunately, they were discontinued a while back; not greatly impressed with the 'Sienna'
model, so looking to upgrade to the 'Spirex' ! Pfleuger President,
Mitchell 300, Black Max and Silver Max are all pretty good reels for $30 to $50 ! There are several
Okuma models in that range, also ! Good luck and happy hunting !

Look into KastKing anything. Whatever your budget will afford actually. They sell on Amazon exclusively and are worth twice to three times the cost. You can ask questions in here, get answers but many times they are misleading without further research and YouTube is an excellent resource. Even my suggestion should be researched because that is all it is, a suggestion. Trust nobody except yourself and your decision.
