Help Headed to Eastern Shore want to fish

What’s running? Reds or striper? Bait? I’ll be north of VA beach in Cape Charles. Advice new to area.

I'm a little North of there, Ocean City, Md. At night people are catching stripe bass and trout off the jetty, pier an Rt 50 bridge. I plan on surf fishing in the next 2-3 days.
My cousin and I have been catching mostly black bass and flounder off the 50 bridge and pier during the day. Mostly using sand flees and squid. My friend caught several trout a couple nights ago using jig head with a trailer.

I was only person catching anything!! Found a new bait all catches were on soft plastic if interested let me know I owe you for your help.... as soon as I found the bait it was like something unimaginable I couldn’t believe it and I was using close to same thing only different tail every hit was on drop.....

Lol, I take it you are having a good time. I would be happy with any tips on soft plastics. I plan on going out tomorrow, depending what I get done today. Will determine in going/out going tide, jetty, pier, bridge or surf.

Well I learned look for clear water use a DOA or similar jig head chartreuse seems to be working here and these down south plastic worms.... the tail action is really wild and the fish reds,trout and stripers all hit it color didn’t matter as long as it had a green tail just a1/2” cocker change on the paddle tail.... prior was using every type of paddle tail I had zero bites guy next to me limited out in 20 minutes gave me 4 different colors of those swim baits and it was like night and day!! I wouldn’t believe it unless it happened to me... he explained the action differences and showed me and it worked 100% I went to bait shop and got 12 bags. If you can’t find them locally they do ship on line. I’ll send a photograph of the bags to you as well. Baits hold up well too caught about 20 fish before I had to change out.

Seemed like the color on tail after you got over sand from grass really turned them on also pop it off bottom every bite was on fall...

I actually have two packs of something exactly like thoses I've never even opened. Same exact colored tails. The main body is black with no glitter. I'll have to give them a try.
But i'll stop at Atlantic Bait and Tackle on my way to my fishing spot tomorrow and see if they carry it. I hope I have a day half of the one you had 😊
If I don't get good results with them I'll order a couple bags. Many years ago a friend took me to some river in Frederick Md. We were catching bass left and right using double tailed grubs. I should tried these sooner, I don't even remember how or when I got these. Thanks again so much.

Last night into this am I got 6 striper 1 keeper a limit of puppy drum and 2 keeper speckled trout 18-20”... used the same bait only white with silver sparkles in it chartreuse jig head....
