Not sure where my dad got this, but it is over two feet long.

That's a dealer display lure.

You could try making one out of Plexiglas

The ones we had were just straight and flat no curve. So I think your idea would be great!

It's going to be expensive. I got a 8x11 sheet years ago and it was thin, I don't recall the exact price, but it was around $20 back then. A piece that thick is going to be $$$

If that lure was mine I'd be tickled pink to get a lip for double that $20. Those dealer display lures are expensive. You've got a really nice lure there. Good luck.

You can get small pieces of plexiglass off Amazon. Probably fine tune a lip with a Dremel tool.

If want plexiglass or lexan, go to an electrical sign shop, they buy tons of this stuff, give you some for nothing....

Oh, c'mon guys. Your local Ace Hdwe or Lowe's Home Center has 1/8-1/4" Plexi or lexan in a variety of sizes. Just bought a 2'x4' x1/8" for $40 last month at Hdwe store. Sign shop scrap-pile for any thing thicker. Cutting will be the real trick. Try patient sanding to achieve the lip shape with a belt sander, as most saw-cutting(other than the proper bandsaw blade,...at the proper speed) will fracture saw-cut on either side. Good luck...send pics of the rod and reel.... they will be ginormous ! Lol !

I used the end of a clear plastic spoon or fork. Cheap. And if you mess up you can try again. Easy to work with.

Uuuhh.... for this project ? Did you not note the specs ? It's TWO FEET LONG ! Even my acrylic salad serving fork and spoon set would be lacking @ 16" long x 4" wide ! And I was worried about whether 1/4" would be thick enough ! LOL !
